Social Learning Networks for Education

When you think of social networking what comes to mind? Twitter? Facebook? Linkd In? Well, if you are a teacher or work in academics, you should think about LearnCentral.org  Learn Central is a social networking site for education and every week offers free webinars open to the public. This week's schedule is full of interesting topics with speakers from different areas of academia and education.  This Tuesday, July 5th, Steve Hargadon will be hosting a live and interactive interview with Sandy Hirsch, the director of the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at San José State University where they will be "discussing the current and future states of libraries and librarians".
